KCLSO Spring Concert 2017: 1st Apr 7:30pm [Holy Trinity Church, Prince Consort Road, South Kensington, London, SW7 2BA]

King’s College London Symphony Orchestra’s final concert of the 2016/17 season.
 
To round off what has been a fantastic year, KCLSO presents a programme with a nautical twist. Repertoire includes Mendelssohn’s ‘The Hebrides’ and ‘Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage’ and to finish off our programmatic voyage, Debussy’s symphonic masterpiece ‘La Mer’. We are also thrilled to welcome our first concerto winner of this season to the stage, Debbie Barnes, who will be performing Mozart’s Bassoon Concerto.

KCLSO February Concert 2017: 4th & 5th Feb – Bernstein “Candide” (In Collaboration with King’s Opera)

| CANDIDE | OPERA IN CONCERT

Produced by King’s Opera and King’s College London Symphony Orchestra, this iconic opera by Leonard Bernstein will be performed in concert by an incredibly talented cast of players and singers.

Based on the classic satire written by Voltaire and set to Bernstein’s stunning score, this story is not to be missed.

It’s time for the first KCLSO concert of the 2016/17 season! Come and join us for an evening of music to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. With Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet (excerpts), Bartok’s 3rd Piano Concerto performed by the amazing Lantian Gu, and Khachaturian’s Spartacus Suite No. 2.

As the academic year draws to a close, KCLSO is proud to be hosting our final concert on the 30th May at St. Paul’s church in Covent Garden!

We are going out with a bang with the programme including Mahler’s Symphony no.1.

We will also be jkclso 2015 mayoined by soloist Emily Mitchell on trumpet, performing
the Arutiunian Trumpet Concerto.
